The Meadville area hosts many fine events each year, however, one particular event has quickly risen to the top that puts smiles on the faces of all those who have attended - MARCarribean Nite at the Meadville Area Recreation Complex. Don't miss the opportunity to experience a reMARCable evening of fun, exotic food, your favorite tropical drinks and music situated amidst a beautifully decorated Caribbean pool atmosphere. This year's headline entertainment features the Calypso Gypsies Steel Drum Band, who is sure to transform everyone's state of mind to relaxing thoughts of an island paradise.
While Jimmy Buffet and crew could not be with us this year, "Parrotheads" will not be disappointed in the themed festivities planned for this year's event. And don't forget to vote for your favorite Kahuna Team. These folks are working hard to gain your vote (dollars) to compete for the prestigious crowns to become King and Queen Kahunas for 2010.
Best of all, your participation is for a great cause. All proceeds are used for special projects at the MARC. Past proceeds have been used to replace the dasher boards in the ice rink, replace the roof over the MARC and purchase new lounge chairs for the pool area, as well as, new rental ice skates.
