I am motivated and excited to finally be back and coach for all of you.  During my absence, I have learned invaluable skills and lessons I am excited to pass on to all the athletes who are looking to participate in this program. I will strive to bring the utmost discipline and professionalism I can to this this organization and to each of your swimmers.  Below is my promise to all of you.

Your swimmers are entrusted to my care. I will train them to the best of my ability. I will develop them into smartly disciplined, physically fit, exceptionally conditioned athletes. I will demand of them and demonstrate by my own example the highest standards of personal conduct, morality, and professional skill.

We have work to do Firefish. I welcome all of you and cannot wait to get started!

MARC COVID-19 RINK Safety Policies and Procedures

Coming to Our Facility:

  • Those wishing to come to the MARC this season must wear masks at all times

  • Anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, waiting on a COVID-19 test, or anyone exposed to a COVID-19 patient may not enter the facility without a negative COVID-19 test

  • If you have travelled outside to the restricted states described in the PA Dept of health guidelines you may not enter the MARC within two weeks of your return

  • All MARC patrons must practice social distancing and maintain six feet of distance between themselves and other patrons whenever possible

  • Coaches, referees, and athletes are expected to wear masks unless on the ice and actively participating in a work out, game, or activity that prevents use of a mask

  • The MARC is operating at 25% capacity which includes staff, players, and coaches.  This will limit the number of spectators for events and programs so we encourage you to find alternative ways to watch MARC events such as through LiveBarn

  • Participants should arrive dressed for events due to a limit of six children per locker room

Facility Cleaning:

  • Commonly touched surfaces such as door handles, rink glass, hockey benches, etc. will be cleaned between events and will be regularly cleaned throughout the day

  • MARC maintenance staff will be cleaning locker rooms between uses

  • Common use items such as ice walkers will not be provided this season for skaters to limit any potential spread of COVID-19

  • Entrances will be marked as enter or exit to encourage one way travel

  • Hand sanitizing stations will be provided throughout the facility

  • Restrooms will be deep cleaned every four hours

Employee Safety:

• All employees have been trained in COVID-19 safety and sanitation protocols.

• All employees have been instructed to stay home if they do not feel well.

• Employees that report any symptoms will follow a thorough reporting procedure.

• All employee hand tools, equipment, computer peripherals, workstations and break rooms are cleaned and sanitized multiple times per day.

• Employees are required to wear masks. Employees will wear gloves based on their job activities.

The MARC offers year-round fun for residents of Meadville, Vernon Township, West Mead, and the surrounding communities. As you explore our fifty-four acre property during the summer months, you might happen upon our skate park, community garden, or swimming pool. In the fall, join us on a nature walk on our wooded trails or enjoy a soccer game on the Eldred Glen fields. In the winter, join a hockey league, learn how to curl, or come out for our public skating sessions. As the snow melts away into spring, find your way to our tennis courts, picnic shelters, and baseball field. Whatever your passion, chase it here at the MARC!

Thank You to Our Community Partners!

Employees of our community partners receive free admission to the MARC
